Alex Taite 

Tenor

A resident and native of Oakland California, Alexander Taite graduated in 2007 from Pepperdine University with a Bachelor’s Degree in music theory and composition. He emphasized in vocal performance and jazz piano. He spent 4 years teaching theory and conducting choirs at the Oakland School for the Arts. In 2014 He placed third in the inaugural James Toland Vocal Arts competition and in 2016 took audience favorite. He was a finalist in the East Bay Opera League scholarship competition in 2015. He is currently writing two song books of spirituals, one for solo voice with piano and one for acapella chorus. Previously, Alex has enjoyed teaching with the SF Opera Guild (SF Opera's education and outreach department); conducting the graduate level ensemble at the San Francisco Boys Chorus; Singing with the San Francisco Symphony chorus; coaching and voice teaching at Cantare Con Vivo; directing, and singing in recording projects around the Bay Area; and performing on many local Bay Area opera stages. He currently finds great joy in singing with the San Francisco Opera Chorus; teaching private piano, music theory, and voice lessons; and Directing Chorus Eclectic.

Aileen Chanco

Piano

Aileen Chanco, lauded soloist and chamber musician, has been recognized for her "intense virtuosity" and "commanding presence" (MusicWeb International, Santa Cruz Sentinel) and described by the Mercury News as "steeped in expressiveness and tastefulness to the core!" She made her solo concerto debut with the San Francisco Symphony at age thirteen, followed by appearances with the Boston Pops and solo performances with orchestras throughout the United States, Canada, and the Philippines.

Aileen's chamber music performances have been praised as "extraordinary, colorful and deft" (SF Classical Voice) and "polished and superb" (San Antonio News). Her solo recording, Images of Three Centuries, on the Con Brio Recordings label, was highlighted as "beguiling" by the Contra Costa Times and "beautifully delivered and imaginatively worked out" by the American Record Guide.  She received her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from The Juilliard School under Herbert Stessin. Aileen founded Music at the Mission, now known as Music with a Mission, where she serves as artistic co-director and general director. 

Bill Everett 

Double Bass

William Everett serves as principal bass of Symphony Silicon Valley.  He spent three years as an acting member of the San Francisco Symphony, performing on numerous recordings and in halls throughout the United States and Europe. He has appeared as a free-lance musician with ensembles throughout the Bay Area, including the San Francisco Opera and the New Century Chamber Orchestra.

As a soloist, Everett has been featured at the Music in the Mountains Festival in Nevada City and Desert MusicFest in Carefree, Arizona, as well as appearing in recital in the Bay Area with his wife, pianist Aileen Chanco.  He has specialized in the music of Giovanni Bottesini, as well a pursuing a deep interest in 20th century music. He has also transcribed numerous pieces from the Romantic cello repertoire for the double bass. As a composer, he has had his music performed by the Worn Chamber in San Francisco.

Everett received his BM degree under Homer Mensch at the Juilliard School, and studied with Edwin Barker at Boston University. He performed as principal bass with the New York String Orchestra and the Tanglewood Music Center Orchestra, as well as at festivals in Canada, Germany, Japan and Israel.

Chad Kaltinger 

Viola

Born in Chicago, Chad Kaltinger began studying viola at age 9. Chad studied under Peter Slowik and studied chamber music at the Music Institute of Chicago. He continued his studies at the University of Illinois under Emanuel Vardi and was a Fellow at the Aspen Music Festival where was the winner of the E. Nakamichi Viola Competition. In 2012, Chad joined Quartet San Francisco, a multiple Grammy-nominated classical crossover ensemble specializing in non-classical styles. With the quartet, Chad has toured extensively and has participated in the San Francisco Symphony's Adventures In Music program. Currently Chad is the principal violist at Opera San Jose and appears as guest principal with many orchestras around the Bay Area.
